HEC Need-Based Scholarship

Who it is for: Undergraduate students at participating public and private universities
What it covers: Full tuition fee plus a monthly living stipend
Eligibility: Family income below the HEC threshold, admission on merit in a recognised degree programme, and satisfactory academic standing each semester.

Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship

Who it is for: Undergraduates from low-income households across Pakistan
What it covers: 100% tuition plus stipend for the full degree duration
Eligibility: Household income under the programme ceiling, enrolment in a four or five year undergraduate degree, and continued academic progress.

PEEF Scholarship (Punjab)

Who it is for: Students domiciled in Punjab studying at approved institutions
What it covers: Tuition support and, for some categories, hostel and book allowances
Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in the last examination, Punjab domicile, and family income within PEEF limits.

Sindh Educational Endowment Fund

Who it is for: Students domiciled in Sindh
What it covers: Tuition and living support for merit and need categories
Eligibility: Sindh domicile, strong academic record and demonstrated financial need.

University Merit Scholarship

Who it is for: Continuing students at almost every Pakistani university
What it covers: 25% to 100% tuition waiver each semester
Eligibility: High previous-semester CGPA (usually 3.50 and above), full-time enrolment and no disciplinary record.

Kinship / Sibling Concession

Who it is for: Families with two or more children enrolled at the same university
What it covers: Typically 10-25% off tuition for the second and later sibling
Eligibility: Both siblings enrolled in the same semester; applied through the accounts office.

Frequently asked questions

What CGPA do I need for a merit scholarship in Pakistan?

Most universities set the bar at 3.50 CGPA for partial waivers and 3.75 or above for larger awards, with some reserving full waivers for the top one or two students of each programme.

Can I hold two scholarships at once?

Usually not for the same cost. Need-based awards that cover full tuition normally exclude a simultaneous merit tuition waiver, though stipends and one-off grants can often be combined.

When do scholarship applications open?

HEC and Ehsaas cycles usually open shortly after the fall semester begins, while university merit awards are processed automatically after each semester's results.
