Calculator data stays in your browser

Every GPA, CGPA, aggregate, merit, fee and scholarship calculation on MeriDegree runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your marks, grades, credit hours and fee figures are never transmitted to our servers and are never stored in our database.

If you close or refresh the page, the values you entered are discarded unless your browser has restored them from its own form cache.

Information we do collect

We collect a limited set of technical and analytics data:

• Standard server log data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp.
• Anonymous usage analytics (pages viewed, device category, approximate city) through Google Analytics 4, when it is enabled.
• Any information you voluntarily send us by email or through the contact form, such as your name and message.

How we use the information

We use this data to keep the site secure, understand which calculators and universities students need most, fix broken pages, and respond to your messages. We do not sell personal data and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

Advertising and third parties

MeriDegree may display advertising supplied by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads relevant to you. You can review and change Google's advertising settings at any time in your Google account, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings page.

Our data-processing partners currently include Google Analytics (analytics), Google AdSense (advertising, when enabled) and our hosting provider (site delivery and server logs).

Children and student data

Many of our visitors are matric and intermediate students. We deliberately avoid collecting names, roll numbers, CNIC numbers, transcripts or any other identifying academic record. Please do not send us documents containing your CNIC or full transcript.

Your rights

You may ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be resolved immediately. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows — for example when we add user accounts or new advertising partners. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
